How To Be Perfect Before God

The concept of being “perfect before God” is often understood in the context of striving for spiritual maturity, holiness, and righteousness in alignment with God’s standards. While perfection in the absolute sense is unattainable for humans due to our inherent flaws and limitations, I am following biblical principles on how to be perfect before God

How can we be perfect as God is perfect? We’re not making reference to both believers and unbelievers in the context. We are particularly referring to those who have been born of God or of the spirit. How to be perfect before God equally explain how to be perfect in christ.

At Turn To Jesus, we are particular about what God is able to do in the life of those who are born again. Therefore if you want to be a beneficiary of the realities presented on this website,

then you have to be born again, you have to be born of God. You must relate with God before you can draw virtue from him.

How To Be Born Again

If you are not born of God, what is discussed here will make no meaning to you, so why not make up your mind to join us in the kingdom.

What we present here is light and every natural man is in the kingdom of darkness. Except light is shone on you, there will never be any understanding of what is happening here. Once you are born again, you will be translated to the kingdom of light automatically.

If you are ready to repent, turn to God and surender your life to Jesus, allow Jesus to live in your heart and be your lord and savior, then put your hand on your chest and pray this prayer;

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, I repent of my sins today, please forgive me of all my sin. I surrender all of me to you Jesus. Live in my heart and be my Lord and savior from today, in Jesus name I pray. Amen”

If you have prayed this prayer, God has forgiven you of whatever sin you might have committed. Even if you had killed someone, God has forgiven you.

You have just started a relationship with God which has to grow on a daily basis. Our spiritual food is the knowledge of the word of God. The word of God is God, power, wisdom, authority, favor, grace, wealth.

How To Be Perfect Before God

The concept of being “perfect before God” is often understood in the context of striving for spiritual maturity, holiness, and righteousness in alignment with God’s standards. While perfection in the absolute sense is unattainable for humans due to our inherent flaws and limitations, the Bible does provide guidance on how believers can grow in their faith and strive for spiritual perfection before God. Here are some key principles to consider:

#1. Repentance and Forgiveness:

Acknowledge your sins, seek God’s forgiveness, and strive to live a life of repentance. Confess your sins, ask for forgiveness, and turn away from sinful behaviours. God’s grace and mercy are available to all who sincerely seek His forgiveness. This is a fundamental step on how to walk before God and be perfect.

#2. Faith in Jesus Christ:

Place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Believing in Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection is central to the Christian faith and is the foundation for salvation and reconciliation with God.

#3. Seeking God’s Will:

Strive to align your thoughts, words, and actions with God’s will as revealed in Scripture. Study the Bible, pray for guidance, and seek to live a life that reflects God’s values, principles, and commandments.i

#4. Fruit of the Spirit:

Cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in your life, which includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Allow the Holy Spirit to work in you and transform you from within.

#5. Holiness and Sanctification:

Pursue holiness and sanctification by setting yourself apart for God’s purposes and striving to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Be intentional about avoiding sin, resisting temptation, and growing in spiritual maturity.

#6. Love and Compassion:

Show love and compassion to others, just as God has shown love and compassion to you. Treat others with kindness, forgiveness, empathy, and generosity, reflecting God’s love in your relationships and interactions.

#7. Perseverance and Endurance:

Endure through trials, challenges, and difficulties with faith and perseverance. Trust in God’s faithfulness, strength, and promises, knowing that He is with you and will help you overcome obstacles.

#8. Community and Fellowship:

Engage in fellowship with other believers, participate in worship, prayer, and service within the Christian community. Surround yourself with supportive and encouraging fellow believers who can help you grow in your faith journey.

While perfection before God may be an ideal that is never fully realized in this earthly life, the journey of striving for spiritual growth, maturity, and righteousness is a central aspect of the Christian faith. By seeking God’s grace, following His teachings, and living a life of faith and obedience, believers can draw closer to God and experience His transforming work in their lives.

#9. Spend quality time studying the word of God

The word of God is perfect; the word of God is almighty God, according to the Bible. Therefore, the word of God has the capacity to make you perfect in Christ. You will not see God to relate to; the only thing you will see is the word of God. As you spend time with the revealed knowledge of the word of God, you are spending time with God. As you spend time with God, you will gradually become a god. This is the foundation of perfection that we are about to discuss.

Before you know how to be perfect in life we need to know what the bible means by perfection. God is perfect and created for himself, in his image, in his likeness. In other words we were created to be like God. If God is perfect, man was made to be perfect too. Adam and eve were created as perfect beings, that’s why God was always coming down to commune with them.

That perception has not changed. The fall of Adam tried to twart the plan but Jesus intervened and restored man back. Therefore God still expect man to be perfect. Our social media platforms has more on this.

#10. Our relationship with God grows

Our relationship with God is a journey. Before we attain any level of achievement in life, there must be a concious mindset developed towards achievement of the set target. We conciously make up our mind towards certain target before we can get there.

God can only keep emphasizing the importance of the Holy Spirit, why you should spend quality time to get the revealed word on a daily basis, but no matter what is said and done, you can only achieve that if you have made up your mind to do it.

Therrfor the first step towards perfection has to do with your decision to achieve that. I mean there are many believers all over the earth, but we are not all on the same level of faith, it means we are not all on the same level of commitment towards obedience to what the scripture says.

#11. Your faith can only grow by the understanding of God’s word

There is no other way that your faith can grow than than absorbing the knowledge of the revealed word of God. This is all that we are commanded to do. It now only lies on how much time we devout to doing that on a daily basis that determines our levels and placements.

You cannot compare a man that prays for four hours everyday and kneel down to study his bible for eight hours everyday with another believer who prays for thirty minutes a day and study his bible for just an hour a day.

Our relationship with God grows, so is our faith, wisdom, power, favor, grace and everything that has to do with the attributes of God, they all pass through the growth process. And nobody can grow from one feet to six feet on one day. Our growth as believers depends on the level of consumption of only one food, and that is the knowledge of the revealed word of God.

#12. The Word Of God Is God

The word of God is the power of God, the word of God is the wisdom of God, the word of God is favor, grace, love, life and every good thing you can ever think of.

That’s why God himself advised us to seek first the kingdom of God and all other things shall be added. This is where many christians have missed It by thinking the kingdom of God is church activities.

The word of God is the kingdom of God

The kingdom of god is the word of God. The word of God is God, the more you sit on the revealed knowledge of the word, the more you are sitting God, the more you sit with God, the more you are transformed to be like God. The more you are transformed the closer you are to perfection.

The bible is our manual that advises on what to do, how to live, how not to live. God has a lifestyle, you can make that lifestyle your own lifestyle. Moses was on the mountain with God for some days and by the time he came down, the glory of God was all over him, so strong that the children of Israel could not look at his face.

God is light, and Moses in the presence of God was gradually transforming to the same light. How about Moses being there for two weeks? one month? How will Moses look like?

This is exactly what happens when we sit with the revealed word for hours on daily basis. This is the presence of God. The word of God is the almighty God himself.

God is light, the word of God is light, wherever he is present, darkness vanishes automatically. If you have not yet experience it, it’s because of your level of light, depending on how much time you spend per day and how often.

What you sow in God is what you reap

I don’t know why we sometimes expect the unexpected. Many wants to reap where they never sowed. Look, when it comes to God, you don’t have any excuse for not obeying. If you cannot relate with or obey God because of your job, it simply means your job has become your god, if not, what kind of job would God not give you if you resign and pray for God to place you in a favorable place.

Instead, believers, people who are born of God, will make such a statement as “God will understand.”. Anything you do with God without faith is sin. This is the determinant factor, in the quality of life exhibited by different believers.

If we want to be honest, anything we want to do in life, we must first consider if that project, adventure, journey or whatever, will enhance our relationship with God, if not, we cancel it. It must be God first. Our value system is a major determinant of the direction we take.
